Battaglia actively encourages the language and use of bronze with the dedicated projects of Open Studio, Battaglia Foundry Sculpture Prize, Art-Design.
Open Studio is addressed to Italian and international artists interested in material research, and to their galleries who wish to add new business opportunities within bronze productions.
Open studio is the possibility to live in the Foundry for around one month, creating an active and direct connection with bronze, a complex and precious materials with infinite possibilities.
The participation to Open Studio works by direct invitation of the Art Directors.
During the stay, the invited artist will be welcomed in a dedicated apartment of 25 sqm in the Lambrate District, which is well connected to the centre of Milan (15 minutes). The artist will also have the opportunity to use a Studio.
The Battaglia Foundry Sculpture Prize is a competition of ideas that gives the chance to enter into an international network specificly built around the research of bronze sculpture.
The opportunity to relate with the pillars of a millenary tradition, analysing every year a different theme linked to an intrinsic and peculiar factor of the bronze lost wax casting technique.

Art Design aims at the creation of unique pieces with the typical lost-wax process choice of surfaces, having the constant technical consultancy of Battaglia from the model to the finished prototype.
Art Design is addressed to Italian and international designers interested in material research, and to their galleries who wish to add new business opportunities within bronze productions.

Starting from 2019 Art Design is assigned to a new Art-Director: Nicolas Bellavance Lecompte.
The participation to Open Studio works by direct invitation of the Art Director.
During the stay, the invited designer will be welcomed in a dedicated apartment of 25 sqm in the Lambrate District, which is well connected to the centre of Milan (15 minutes). The designer will also have the opportunity to use a Studio.
A final exhibition of the work produced in the Studio space will be able to organise and curated by the Art Director.
